We are a broad and inclusive church, located in Finchampstead, Berkshire. We aim to provide a variety of services in order to appeal to as wider range of people as possible, and hope to offer a warm welcome to everybody wherever they are on their spiritual journey.

St James is part of the PFC Church family (short for Parish of Finchampstead and California). You find all the latest news and events on the PFC website pfc-church.uk.

We offer a warm welcome to families, with special family services every week. Secondary age children meet together during term time in our popular Youth Group, and also meet together for their own worship from time to time. We also have an active toddler group.

Most of our services use modern language, with robed clergy, choir and organ, but each Sunday there is at least one service which uses the traditional language of the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) and Evensong once a month.

We are blessed with a large and well regarded choir who sing at our main morning service every week, and some additional services during the month. Alongside this there are a number of additional special services during the year, and the choir are occasionally invited to sing elsewhere.
